I Want to hold your…molar?

John Lennon’s rotten molar was sold for $31K at auction last month to a dentist from Alberta, Canada. Michael Zuk, a dentist and unusual teeth collector, saw it in a auction catalog and realized “I knew I needed to have it (Lennon’s tooth)”. Dr Zuk explained that he thought owning Lennon’s tooth “was just cool”. He noted that it was severely decayed and had tartar on it.Dr. Zuk says that he will show it around the community first before having mounted for display in his office. John Lennon, dead since 1980 from an assassin’s bullet, may be buried but not all of his mortal remains remain below ground. Lennon gave the tooth to his housekeeper in 1964. He told the housekeeper to dispose of it “or better still, give it to your daughter as a souvenir.”
